Avalon Golf Club
Golf course Middle Township, New Jersey
The Avalon Golf Club is nestled between Ocean City and Wildwood, along the Jersey coast. It measures from 6325 to 4924 yards and it is suitable for golfers of all skill levels. At Avalon Golf Club, players must face narrow fairways, an abudance of water and the most abundant prominent feature, the wind. With the course so close to the shore, the wind may very well come into play on certain days. In order to make sure the wind is a help, you need to pay attention to the direction the wind is blowing and its speed.
The Avalon Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course that mixes various hole personalities that dazzles the senses and ignites a true passion for the game of golf. The course is open daily from dawn to dusk.
Avalon Golf Club was founded and built by Bob Hendricks in 1971. The Hendricks family owned and operated the course until 1987. On January 1, 1988 the course was sold to the current ownership, Avalon Development & Golf, Inc. which includes the Casper and Buckingham families. Avalon Golf Club has seen many changes over the years and continues to be considered one of the “Best Courses to Play” on the East Coast.
