“As we continue with our business philosophy of whatever it takes to make it easier for our customers to do business with us, we have discovered new customers asking for our help with their receiving/delivery dilemmas. Many potential customers were not aware that we have a customer-friendly delivery system waiting for them that not only saves them time, but will provide ease of off-loading. We have a delivery solution for each customer and their special needs,” says Todd Plaisted, owner of Peat, Inc.
Peat, Inc. is a unique golf, sports turf and horticulture peat supply company because we are affiliated with Plaisted Companies, the largest full-service golf course supplier in the upper Midwest. This means we can control the quality of the process from peat harvest to final mix. Plaisted’s blending services and sand business uses Peat, Inc. in their products too—so we understand the importance of quality and a consistently excellent product.
Minnesota peatlands are approximately six thousand years old and contain the largest development of patterned peatlands in the lower forty-eight states. Peat, Inc. is a Minnesota-based peat company servicing worldwide. We harvest peat about six months a year, but stockpiles of this natural resource are bagged year-round. In terms of quality, Minnesota peat is comparable to any European or Canadian product.

At TerraMax, research is the backbone of our business.
Founded in 1998 by 2 scientists
Develops and distributes natural microbial products
Products designed to increase yields of agricultural crops, improve root structure and improve appearance of turf
Our inoculants minimize the use of petrochemical and mined fertilizers
Through scientifically developed technologies backed by years of research, TerraMax creates and produces innovative natural products that enhance productivity and benefit producers, consumers and the environment.
Relying chiefly on the bacteria Azospirillum, TerraMax’s family of products is applied either as a powder or a liquid to seeds, crops, lawns and turf to naturally promote plant growth by capturing nitrogen.
Why Azospirillum? Azospirillum is a naturally occurring, plant growth-promoting microbe (bacterium) that works as a nitrogen fixer — harvesting nitrogen from the air and soil and delivering it to root systems. However, it wasn’t until TerraMax developed an industry-first formulation to keep the bacteria viable and stable that the growing community really learned what this bacteria could do.
Azospirillum is scientifically proven to improve root structure year after year — creating plants that can stand up to changing weather conditions and other challenges growers’ face. Whether it’s greener, hardier turf or increased crop yields, Azospirillum is proven to work.

NB Golf Cars was founded in 1972 by the Ness Brothers (NB) from Hendricks, Minnesota.
In 1970, Omer Ness purchased a golf car after he injured his leg. The golf car made it easy for him to navigate around the golf course. Several people inquired about Ness’ golf car and eventually the idea for NB Golf Cars was born. In 1988, Omer’s son, Jim Ness joined forces with his father to carry on the tradition of the Ness family business. NB is one of the oldest Club Car distributors in existence today.
When Omer Ness retired in 2007, the McGowan Capital Group of Sioux Falls put their faith in the NB name and became co-owners of this thriving golf car business. NB Golf has consistently grown in service and sales throughout their 40 years in business. In addition to the original Hendricks, MN. store location, we have added two new stores in Des Moines, Iowa and Sioux Falls, South Dakota. NB Golf Cars has won several awards for sales and customer service distinction from Club Car. Most recently, we were awarded a Distributor of Distinction Award. We proudly added this to our Overall Superior Performance Award (2008) and our Superior After-Market Performance Award (2009). Together, these awards represent our commitment to our customers.
We are proud to serve this region and we hope to see you soon in one of our stores.
